My Physical Rock Bottom.

I believe a “Rock-Bottom” can occur in many areas of life. I have experienced them mentally, emotionally and physically.

My physical rock bottom was in 2008 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I had horrible stomach issues. I couldn’t eat anything without needing to run to the bathroom with HORRIBLE stomach cramping. My circulation was so poor my fingers occasionally turned black and ALL OF MY HAIR FELL OUT!!!

I consulted with every doctor and was willing to try whatever they told me to do, yet mysteriously all of my blood tests came back perfect. The doctors didn’t know what was ailing me, nor could they give me any advice. I received steroid shots in my head as an attempt to stimulate new hair growth. I was given a shot for every centimeter of baldness. Sitting in the doctor's chair I’d count how many shots I was receiving, while I held back my tears. On my last visit I stopped counting once I reached 100 and decided that this pain was not worth the beauty of having hair.

I had lost hope.

Then one day I was scrolling through facebook and came across my friend Jeff’s posts. He was posting things like, “I feel awesome! If you don’t, talk to me.” OR “Life is amazing!!!!!! I have so much energy! If you don’t feel the same, talk to me!”

He was one of those guys who was experiencing life SO differently than I was that I almost found it annoying. Instead of hiding his posts and being aggravated by his genuine zest for life, I decided to reach out to him and see what he was doing. Thank G-D I did, because after a three-hour call with him and three months of following a plan he made for me based on eating properly, I was a different person. Jeff saved my life.

This was my physical “rock-bottom,” AND the beginning of the next chapter of my life.

Now, 14 years later, Thank G-D, I am still feeling awesome.

My health issues never came back.

I’ve become beyond passionate about helping women transform. I have furthered my studies in overall wellness, become a Certified Chef, Narrative Therapist, and as of recently, a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (explained in detail here). I specialize in Health Coaching with step-moms, and 12-step graduates, putting my clients at the center of their own transformation.
